Poway Sushi Lounge was an idea conceived by two friends while working together for another restaurant, Sushi on the Rock in La Jolla and Carlsbad. Katie Rooney was the Catering Director, having started the department after opening the Carlsbad location and being the Manager of Operations for both locations. Frank Interlandi assisted in the opening of Carlsbad and was the Head Chef at that location. He worked for the company for seven years, starting in La Jolla, and was the main catering chef. The two friends purchased Sushi Poway in 2006 and began three months of remodeling and changes and emerged with a new menu, fresh new décor, and a whole new feel. Poway Sushi Lounge offers a fresh alternative with emphasis on the freshest ingredients, a warm inviting atmosphere, superior service and a relaxed friendly vibe. |
